Oremi provides culturally appropriate mental health day services to African and Caribbean adults in Westminster.

It offers a range of services which aim to identify people who are isolated and find it difficult to use conventional mental health services.

It provides a supportive environment and a programme of activities, designed to give information and support to service users, their families and carers and the general community.

It also seeks to support other agencies as they serve the specific cultural needs of those with mental health difficulties.

Oremi offers the following services

  • drop in with use of resources and spacious cafe.
  • outreach service which visits people at home and in hospital
  • access to advice and information by telephone or by visiting the drop-in
  • support groups which focus on recovery through setting and achieving goals, making improvements in their relationships or beginning education or employment.
  • support for families
  • community programmes
  • health promotion
  • community carer support

Service users can either be referred by professionals/family or self refer by contacting the service by phone or in writing.
