Outsiders Club

Outsiders is a group for people who feel they have social and/or physical disabilities and are finding it difficult to form relationships.

People may have become isolated as a result of disabilities or other factors, such as shyness, depression or bereavement. Outsiders offers members the chance to contact other people, practice socialising or gain confidence.

Outsiders is run by a team of volunteers with similar experiences to new members.

The organisation holds regular monthly lunches in London - on the second Saturday of the month. Lunch starts at 1.00pm and about 40 people chat and mingle until about 4.00pm.

A big party is held every year, and a picnic in the summer. Women's events and trips are sometimes arranged. Outsiders also has a free postal library for members.

Membership is free.

There is a free copy of the newsletter 'Insider' for every member.
