The Early Intervention Team

The Early Intervention in Psychosis Team works with people aged between 14 and 35 years, who have experienced psychosis for the first time.

The Team has staff from clinical psychology, CAMHS and adult Medical Staff, occupational therapy and nursing and social work. It also has an employment specialist whose role is to assist people in returning to or entering employment.

The Team works across Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea, and works with people for 3 years following their first psychotic episode.

Criteria for Referral

  • Aged between 14 and 35 years
  • Resident in Westminster or Kensington & Chelsea
  • Have experienced a first episode of psychosis (this includes drug induced psychosis and bipolar affective disorder)

How to refer: - Via GP who will refer through single point of access: Assessment and Brief Treatment Teams.
